Sr San Gerryts is the first recipient of this award. San Gerryts has been involved in wound care in South Africa for more than two decades. She has achieved several academic achievements including completing a Certificate in International Interdisciplinary Wound Care at the University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine, Canada in 2005.
